Flag at Half Staff
An event that forever changed a southeastern Wisconsin city will be remembered statewide on Friday. That’s the 4th anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy in which a vehicle was driven through the parade route, killing six participants in the process.
In observance of the anniversary, Governor Evers has ordered the US and Wisconsin State flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday the 21st.
The six killed were 52-year-old Tamara Durand, 81-year-old Wilhelm Hospel, 52-year-old Jane Kulich, 71-year-old Leanna Owen, 70-year-old Virginia Sorenson, and 8-year-old Jackson Sparks.
