Writing and reading will be celebrated at Lakeland University when it hosts the Great Lakes Writers Festival on Thursday and Friday, November 6-7, with two visiting authors and a variety of events.
The two-day festival is free of charge, and features readings, book signings with the guest authors, master classes and open mic sessions. The visiting authors this year are the widely-published writer Maggie Su, author of the novel “Blob”, and Albert Abonado, who wrote collections of poetry entitled “JAW” and “Field Guide for Accidents”, and is a fellow of the New York Foundation for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
There’s no charge to attend the festival; a complete schedule is available at https://www.
