Roger B. Dumar, 80, a resident of Plymouth passed away at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with his family beside him.
Roger was born in Milwaukee on June 24, 1945, a son to the late Orville and Mary (Tomlanovich) Dumar. He graduated from South Division High School. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a Field Radio Operator in the Vietnam War. Upon his return from Vietnam, he attended the University of Miami and attained a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was employed at Lear Corp., formerly K.W.Muth and J.L. French.
Roger is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn Chodara whom he married on December 1, 1979; his three children, Nathan (Brittany) Dumar, Mark (Kristin) Wishman and Melissa (Rich) Kluth; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Johnathan Wishman, and Caden and Stella Kluth; sister, Diana Wallner; sister in law Carol Schlaikowski and his beloved dog, Prints. Other family and friends further survive. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Andrea Dumar, brother in law James Schlaikowski and a nephew, Stephen Wallner.
Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
