Sheboygan Assembly Representative Joe Sheehan joined fellow Democrats in introducing a package of bills aimed at benefiting Wisconsin Kids on Thursday. The Kids First bill package includes a general aid increase to school funding, an additional line to the itemized personal tax bill showing the cost of voucher schools, and highlights the previously-introduced Healthy Meals for All bill.
Sheehan called the package “a step in the right direction to make sure every student has the tools they need to be successful.”
He said that the Kids First bill package was only the beginning to help address the issues facing K-12 education as work continues toward improving learning outcomes in Wisconsin.
