Lindee Brill, Republican Representative for the 27th Assembly District
A group tasked with addressing state policy on how to prepare parents and protect kids in a rapidly-changing digital environment has chosen Sheboygan Falls Assembly Representative Lindee Brill as its Chairperson. Brill is one of four members of the Speaker’s Task Force on Protecting Kids who, according to the announcement, will “examine the effects of social media on youth development, evaluate the benefits and drawbacks to children having unlimited, unsupervised access to the internet and social media, and assess the risks and dangers of children being online anywhere and anytime.”
Upon announcing the task force’s founding, Brill stated that “As a state, our most profound responsibility is to our posterity, and with this task force, we take an important step in meeting that responsibility with the resolve, dedication, compassion, and urgency it demands.”
Beginning at the end of this month the Task Force on Protecting Kids will hold public hearings in Madison and across the state to gather input which will inform the development of policy recommendations to be passed into law by the legislature.
