(WHBL) – You can gather information about course options and professional or personal development and leave a little something for the good of others this Saturday between 9 AM and 2 PM when Lakeshore Technical College holds its Fall Open House and Blood Drive.
During the open house, staff will be available to answer such questions as how to pay for college, choose classes, go through the admissions process and more.
LTC is also working with the blood center Versiti to help support local demand for blood donors with its “LTC Cares Blood Drive.” The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for donors, and organizers are hoping you’ll consider helping out. A SARS CoV-2 antibody test, which indicates whether you’ve developed the antibodies due to a COVID-19 infection, is part of Versiti’s standard testing, so you’ll know if you’ve had the disease even if you never showed symptoms, and donors will be given a $10 e-gift card as a token of appreciation.
Safety protocols including face coverings and physical distancing will be in place, and you’re asked to bring your own mask. Registration is requested, but not required, and you can get more information about the blood drive and open house at gotoltc.edu.
