A contest to name some of the City of Sheboygan’s hard-working trucks has concluded with the winning names announced on Thursday. The event was a lighthearted activity that began receiving ideas from citizens following the July 4th parade.
Winners were selected in three categories: Garbage Trucks, Street Sweepers, and Plow Trucks. While the names of the winners weren’t announced, the names of the trucks were. They are:
Garbage Trucks: “Trash Gordon” and “Bin Diesel”.
Street Sweepers: “Sweeping Beauty, “Gutter Hugger” and “The Grim Sweeper”.
Plow Trucks: “Big LePlowski” and “Earl”.
Once notified, the winners will see their names on a fleet truck and receive a photo as well.
