Fire did substantial damage and destroyed a pickup truck at Howards Grove Middle School early on Wednesday morning.
The Howards Grove Fire Department responded to the school minutes before 1 AM Wednesday to discover a detached maintenance garage fully engulfed in flames. Crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly, but not before heavy damage was incurred by the building. No damage estimate was immediately available.
There were no injuries suffered due to the fire or during operations to put it out, which were performed by fire departments from Haven, Ada, Johnsonville, the City of Sheboygan, Town of Sheboygan, Elkhart Lake, Glenbeulah, and attended by the Howards Grove First Responders, and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office which is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
