The Board Chairman of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation will be arraigned on charges of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Injury following investigation of a crash he was involved in earlier this week.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said that Don Hammond was driving south on Lakeshore Road on Monday night when he failed to yield and collided head-on with another car. The 23-year-old Sheboygan man driving that vehicle was trapped beneath the dash and had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life. He was flown by Flight for Life for hospitalization where he remains in serious condition at this time.
Hammond had minor injuries and was arrested. The investigation is still underway and court dates have yet to be announced.
