A Monday night crash just north of the City of Sheboygan resulted in serious injuries to one of the parties involved. The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center got the 911 call just before 10 PM, sending responders to the site of a two-vehicle crash on Lakeshore Road near Willow Creek Lane in the Town of Sheboygan.
Investigators with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office determined that a car being driven southbound by a 52-year-old Sheboygan man was attempting to turn when it struck a northbound car. The 23-year-old Sheboygan man, driving alone in that car, was seriously injured and had to be taken by Flight for Life for treatment. The other driver had only minor injuries, and was arrested after determining that alcohol and speed were factors in the accident. He’ll be arraigned on a charge of operating while intoxicated causing injury. The accident remains under investigation.
