A stalled frontal system that’s serving as a locus for rain activity this week is likely to stay a bit longer. That has forecasters figuring that the chance for organized storms is increasing over southern Wisconsin.
While the Sheboygan area isn’t within the highest risk zone, there’s still a chance that thunderstorms could add another one-tenth to one-inch of rain from now through tomorrow night. The greatest chance for more organized storms exists over central to south-central Wisconsin, and those could die out before reaching Sheboygan County and the lakeshore.
Rains expected over the past few days have under-performed, but other parts of Wisconsin have seen river levels rise from repeated storms and those will be most at risk of some flooding now through Thursday.
Here, we’re forecast to have plenty of clouds and a chance of showers and thunderstorms for much of the nexts two days, with temperatures varying from the mid 60s to low 70s. Saturday looks pleasant and dry with highs in the mid 70s.
