Elwood “Woody” C. Riese, age 93, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Morningside Health Services.
He was born in Sheboygan on July 24, 1931, to the late Arthur and Esther (Siewert) Riese. On June 30, 1956, Woody was united in marriage to Janet Heyn. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2021.
Woody was a truck driver and worked for a few companies over his lifetime, retiring from K.W. Muth Company.
He is survived by his children, Glenn (Gretchen Horlacher-Riese) Riese and Janice (Frank) Mallo and many other friends and family.
Along with his parents and wife, Janet, Woody was preceded in death by his sisters, Arlene Kowalski, Caroline Drewry and Eunice Riese.
A Funeral Service for Woody will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards Grove with Rev. Christian Gugel officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will take place next to Janet at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.
