JoAnn I. Schutte, age 77, of Shawano, passed away after a 10-year long battle with lung cancer
on Friday, June 6, 2025.
She was born on July 26, 1947, to the late Marvin and Lorraine (Wentz) Grams. On December 9,
1973, JoAnn was united in marriage to Thomas Schutte and shortly after their marriage, JoAnn
adopted his four children.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Thomas; children, Michael (Mary) Schutte, Dawn (Dave)
Gosse, Julie (Roman) Katzer and Brian (Dawn) Schutte; five grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Along with her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Grams.
Following JoAnn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place
at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler, WI.
