Margaret L. Yonke, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Cedar Grove Gardens
where she had been a resident for the past two years.
She was born in the Town of Herman on April 21, 1926, to the late Paul and Emma (Oshe)
Witthuhn. In her earlier working years, she was employed at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and
later volunteered at the VA Center in Cleveland. Margaret was a longtime member of the
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 387 in Franklin. She was also a faithful member of Trinity
Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Steven (Diana) Yonke of Sheboygan Falls, Thomas (Sue) Yonke
of Spring Valley, WI and David (Martha) Yonke of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-
grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Margaret will be held at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at
Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards Grove with
Pastor Noah Fremer officiating. Family will greet visitors at the funeral home, on Wednesday,
from 3 PM until the time of the service. Margaret will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial
Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Margaret's name to either The American
Legion Auxiliary Unit 387 in Franklin, St. Jude’s Children Research, or Trinity Lutheran Church in
Howards Grove.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Grove Gardens, Preceptor Home Health &
Hospice and Community Care for the excellent care and guidance through the years.
