Public Hearing to Gather Input On Shoreline Metro Fare Changes

PUBLIC HEARING TO GATHER INPUT ON SHORELINE METRO FARE CHANGES

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – You’ll be able to voice your opinions on proposed changes to fares charged for certain one-way trips by Shoreline Metro at a public hearing later this month.  Director of Shoreline Metro Derek Muench said that Sheboygan’s public transit system is proposing a permanent 50-cent fare decrease for ADA Paratransit service, and a permanent 50-cent increase for County Elderly and Disabled Program service.  Those fares are now $3.50 and $2.50 respectively and if changes are approved, would be adjusted on January 1st next year.

The public hearing will be held at 5 PM Tuesday, September 22nd at City Hall, and if you can’t be at the hearing to voice your input, you can submit written communications via either email or regular mail.

Communications may be sent to dmuench@shorelinemetro.comor to 608 S Commerce Street, Sheboygan, WI 53081 to the attention of “Director.”  All communications received prior to the Public Hearing will be introduced and reviewed by the Transit Commission at the Public Hearing.
