SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – 238 persons in Sheboygan County got their COVID-19 test results since Monday, and 14 of those were confirmation of the presence of the coronavirus, making for a positive test percentage rate of 5.9%. Eight persons in the county are now hospitalized, an increase of one since Monday. Of the 1,085 cases confirmed in Sheboygan County, 246 – or about 22-1/2% – have been to persons in their 20s. 158 were in their 30s, 153 in their 50s, 151 cases were to persons in their 40s, 136 were 10-19 years old, 118 were in their 60s, 53 in their 50s, 42 were 80 or older and 28 were under age 10.
Wisconsinites received 981 positive test returns since Monday, that being 8.3% of the total 11,844 returns. That’s the highest number added since 1,021 were reported on August 14th, and that’s the largest number of total tests since August 19th when 11,405 returns were received. The 7-day positive percent average notched up to 8.5%. Another 8 persons died, raising that toll to 1,130. 61 persons entered hospitals with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and another 113 are hospitalized but waiting for their test results. Of the 290 persons in the hospital, 96 are in the ICU, and 354 persons are on ventilators.
The Sheboygan County Division of Health Services advised today that with the Labor Day Holiday coming up, reports will not be issued on Monday. Rather, the weekend breakdown will be released on Tuesday, September 8th, and will include updated COVID-19 case information for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
