Two students of Lakeshore College have gained recognition for their distinguished academic achievements and leadership accomplishments. The two are Kaven Lewis and Robert Talamantes, both named to the 2025 All-Wisconsin Academic Team by Phi Theta Kappa and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. In addition, Lewis was named by the two organizations as Wisconsin’s sole 2025 New Century Workforce Scholar, which awards the honor to only one person per state out of 2,100 nominees from more than 1,300 campuses nationwide. Lewis was given a $1,500 scholarship as he pursues an associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Maintenance.
Robert Talamantes is pursuing associate degrees in Cybersecurity and Web and Software Development and, besides his Phi Theta Kappa honor society membership, he’s also a member of Lakeshore’s Information Technology Club and TRIO.
