Harriett H. Klister, age 88, of Sheboygan, passed away on March 7, 2025.
She was born on April 17, 1936 in West Bend, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Dale and
Pearl Warner Carpenter.
She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1955, and was employed at Wesley-Jung
Company in Sheboygan for 16 years.
On July 15, 1967, she married Ignatius Klister at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan
Falls. The couple resided in Sheboygan Falls after their marriage. He preceded her in death
on October 5, 1976.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and taught Sunday
School for 25 years. She was also a member of the State Handicap Club and TOPS in
Sheboygan Falls.
Harriett was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed playing Bingo, doing puzzles, and watching game
shows.
Survivors include: Daughter, Amy (Brian) Vanderkin; Son, Jay Klister; Grandchildren,
Megan (Brandon) Plymale, Jacob, Logan, and Cole Vanderkin, Danielle (Simon) Jensen and
Joshua (Fiancée, Kaitlyn) Klister; 6 great-grandchildren; Sister, Marilyn Nelson; and Sister-
in-law: Shirley Anders. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband; Sister, Sharon Lensmire; and Brothers, Keith and
Lynn Carpenter.
Visitation will be held on March 19, 2025 at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00
PM – 6:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Rev. Thomas Gudmundson will
officiate.
