Road work will impact the drives of many in and around Sheboygan County this week.
The most impactful will be from utility relocations by WeEnergies that force the closure of Highway 32 at Cedar Grove between South Commerce Street and Willow Avenue. The closure from now through mid-April will allow local traffic to navigate the area, however semi-trucks and busses using Highway 32 will be routed onto I-43 via County Road “AA” at Oostburg to get around the construction.
Guard rail repair will continue on Highway 23 westbound from Ridge Road to County Road “A” each day this week between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., requiring lane closures during the repairs. Guard rail repairs will also be conducted on Northbound I-43 at Highway 23 now through Wednesday between 8 and 3, again requiring lane closures.
Pavement repairs to I-43 will be done to both directions from the Manitowoc/Sheboygan County line northward to Highway 310 each day this week from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Clearing and grubbing on various stretches of Highway 67 will take place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day this week – watch for flag crews there, and in all cases, slow down and stay alert in the interest of everyone’s safety.
