Entreat the gracious mercy of God for the well-loved soul of Robert A. Skeris, Dr.theol.
Born on the 11 th of May 1935, he studied with no little success in America and
Germany. After ordination to the Holy Priesthood for the Archdiocese of
Milwaukee on 27 th of May 1961, he travelled widely in his native country and in
Europe, studying, teaching, and working at Bonn, Maria Laach, Rome, and
Washington. Returning to the United States, he continued to give lavishly of his
unusual talents and learning, gladly devoting all in the simplicity of his heart to
God, his students, and his brethren. His ministry discharged, undismayed by long
years of struggling to master the challenge of dealing with his superiors in
ecclesiastical rank though not in ability, he fell asleep very peacefully in the Lord
on the 18 th of February 2025. It was his wish to be buried amongst his own
people, and there he awaits the blessed hope and the coming in glory of our Lord
Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest. May he rest in peace.
