An organization that helps Sheboygan County homeowners in need of assistance maintaining and repairing their homes just got a $10-thousand boost from Johnsonville. Rebuilding Together – Sheboygan County announced the receipt of the grant on Monday, just one award made available thanks to Johnsonville’s annual Member Giving Drive. That allows its members to nominate a local nonprofit for a donation made on the Member’s behalf.
Rebuilding Together Sheboygan County’s all-volunteer team provides free home repairs to those who qualify, and last year was able to restore 20 homes thanks to its sponsors, tradespeople and other volunteers.
RTSC Board President, Bob Wells, expressed the organizations gratitude for the Johnsonville’s Giving Drive Team donation, saying that the impact will soon be felt by homeowners whose applications for help have already been approved. Wells said that it’s their yearly aim to help more homeowners than the year before, and said that “Johnsonville’s generous donation will go a long way in helping us reach that goal.”
