Community engagement is one key to public protection, and the Sheboygan Police Department is inviting the public to do just that – over a cup of coffee next Thursday.
The event is called “Coffee With a Cop”, an idea that’s done in many communities, and has been in Sheboygan for over half a decade. The idea was hatched some eight years ago as a national event, and has since grown to more than 15,000 events worldwide. Sheboygan’s next get-together is Thursday, February 20 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at Z Spot Espresso & Coffee at 1024 Indiana Avenue.
The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.
No reservations are needed – just a desire to, as their logo says, build relationships, one cup at a time.
