Bellringers, unattended kettles and online portals are all part of the Salvation Army’s holiday collection arsenal. However, despite all the options the Sheboygan Salvation Army fell short of meeting its 2024 goal of $110,000, with $65,527 collected in the month since the November 19th Launch. And although that’s a shortfall of more than $44,000 ($44,473) there is still an overall holiday fundraising goal of $630,000 including corporate and other giving…and individual contributions are still welcome.
Difficult decisions concerning essential services await should enough funds fail to flow in. Lieutenant Heather Gladney of the Sheboygan Salvation Army said that donations to the holiday campaign provide a lifeline for thousands of individuals and families in Sheboygan County, adding that “Your generosity ensures we can continue offering food, shelter, and other vital assistance, bringing hope and stability to those who need it most.”
Locally, 84 cents of every dollar donated goes directly toward funding the Salvation Army’s social service programs, with all contributions staying within Sheboygan County.
Those wishing to donate can still do so by mailing donations directly to the Sheboygan Salvation Army, or online using their Virtual Red Kettle available through this link.
