Winter recycling center hours have gone into effect in Sheboygan. The City’s facility on New Jersey Avenue will now be operating during the new weekday hours of 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, effective yesterday.
The Holidays with their extra output of recyclables will be accommodated with both mid-week closings, as well as extra services for the expected surge from packaging and other items associated with Christmas and the New Year. While the recycling center will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas day, as well as on New Year’s Eve and Day, a garbage and recycling truck will put in extra duty on-site from December 26 through January 3rd to accept what can’t fit inside residents’ usual carts. As a reminder, people are asked to NOT bag their recyclables.
