SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and other Advocate Aurora Health hospitals have emplaced a new “no visitor” policy as part of efforts to reign in the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As of today (Monday) no visitors, with a few exceptions, will be allowed in any inpatient areas until further notice. Exclusions are given to limited numbers of pediatric caregivers, a necessary emotional supporter of the patient, partner and midwife or doula of a laboring mother, end of life situations, emergency department companion, outpatient area companion, those needed for in person discharge instructions, and professionals assigned to assist with procedures. All those who meet those criteria must first pass a health screening before being allowed into the hospital.
