(WHBL) – Senator Devin LeMahieu of Oostburg on Thursday delivered the weekly Republican Radio Address, highlighting previous legislation that created an online voter registration system, and encouraged people to register to vote in the upcoming election.
He noted that this is the first presidential election for which Wisconsin voters can register online, saying: “Online voter registration was launched in 2017 thanks to a bill authored by Senator Kathy Bernier and myself. The law expands access to the polls by replacing the need for paper registration forms. At the same time, the law makes our elections more secure by using technology to clean-up the state’s voter list.”
LeMahieu advised persons to visit myvote.wi.gov where one can check their registration status, update the information or register to vote for the first time. He added that online registration ends October 14th, but if the deadline is missed, same-day registration is possible at the polls.
