A program that promotes small business growth and business start-ups is getting a $15,000 boost. The grant money, announced on Thursday, is coming from the Wells Fargo Foundation, and will be used by the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation towards its Accelerate Sheboygan County – Product Challenge, which will award each of as many as five ideas a $1,000 technical assistance grant for business services throughout the year. Local professionals review each submission and provide guidance from the SCEDC, the Innovation Council, and the Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay in making the awards.
Noting their common goal of promoting new growth, SCEDC Executive Director, Brian Doudna, thanked Wells Fargo for its support, while Wells Fargo District Branch Senior Manager, Tina Brunmeier, expressed gratitude for Accelerate Sheboygan County’s assistance in launching new enterprise.
