Halloween revelers will want to keep a grip on costumes and accessories on Thursday evening as weather forecasts that aren’t quite as wet as before, still turn out to be pretty windy. The National Weather Service is watching for the chance that some severe storms might still show up tonight, but those would likely be in southwest and south-central Wisconsin, weakening as they approach us, but still carrying substantial rain. In all, between one, and three-quarters of an inch of rain is predicted.
The Sheboygan area expects rain by 6 this evening, with the highest chance between 3 a.m. and noon on Thursday. As of now, the last showers should finish by around 3 p.m., just in time for the 4 p.m. trick-or-treaters.
While the rain departs, winds will pick up with gusts as high as 45 mph, and temperatures will decline through the 50s. Those with outdoor decorations may want to secure items in order to keep them from an unplanned halloween night flight.
