A 36-year-old woman has been formally charged in connection with an illegal poaching case that also involves three 16-year-olds.
Two of those three juveniles appeared along with Jessica Kroening in Washington County Circuit Court on Wednesday. Kroening faces misdemeanor counts of intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child, illegal shining of deer, elk or bear, and resisting a conservation warden. While the third teen wasn’t present, his attorney testified via video that his client planned to seek a plea deal but hadn’t yet been given proper paperwork. Of the two that did appear, one will be back in court within the next week, while the other’s court date was rescheduled for November. Due to their ages none of the juveniles were identified. Kroening will make her initial appearance on December 2nd.
The four were identified as the suspects in an extensive poaching investigation that spanned more than a year in Washington and Fond du Lac Counties.
