Residents of City of Sheboygan assisted living facilities will be able to vote where they live in advance of the upcoming November election. City Clerk Meredith DeBruin announced the schedule for eight locations taking place on three days: Tuesday, October 15th through Thursday, the 17th. Special voting deputies appointed by the City will administer the process, which may be monitored by observers from both the Democrat and Republican parties, and relatives will be allowed to accompany their family members.
Absentee voting is offered to any US citizen who is registered to vote and will be 18 or older on Election Day. They must have lived for at least 28 days prior to the election in the ward or municipality in which they intend to vote. Each political party planning to send observers must submit those names to the City Clerk or board of election commissioners no later than the close of business on the day before each session.
