MILWAUEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers took down the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 in their series opener from American Family Field on Monday night.
Aaron Civale earned the win after giving up one run on seven hits over five innings. William Contreras and Joey Ortiz drove in a pair of runs while Blake Perkins and Brice Turing each recorded two hits.
Milwaukee has won four-of-five to remain first in the NL Central at 87-63.
Ranger Suarez got the loss after giving up three runs on four hits over five innings. Brandon Marsh slugged a solo shot for Philly while Kyle Schwarber drove in a run.
The Phillies remain in first place in the NL East at 90-60.
