SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WHBL) – The San Francisco Giants jumped out to an eight-run lead through the first two innings and cruised to a big win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the Bay Area on Wednesday night.
San Francisco crushed Milwaukee 13-2. Matt Chapman, Jerar Encarnacion and Mike Yastrzemski each homered and combined for eight RBIs to highlight a 17-hit day for the Giants.
Patrick Bailey and Tyler Fitzgerald each had three hits, while LaMonte Wade Jr. drove-in a pair of runs.
Blake Snell earned his third win with eight strikeouts through five innings of one-run ball.
The Giants have won three of four.
The Brewers finished with six hits and went just 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Colin Rea got the loss after giving up 10 runs on 11 hits over four innings.
William Contreras and Andruw Monasterio drove in runs as Milwaukee has lost five of its last seven games. The Brewers are still first in the NL Central at 83-62.
