SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed en route to a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on Tuesday night.
William Contreras led the team at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Garrett Mitchell hit his fifth home run of the season on a solo shot in the sixth.
Brewers starter Aaron Civale earned his sixth win, while Devin Williams notched his 10th save as the Crew improved to 83-61.
Mike Yastrzemski hit his 14th home run of the season on a solo shot in the sixth inning. Matt Chapman also drove-in a run in the setback. Starting pitcher Landen Roupp was charged with his first career loss after he had three strikeouts through five innings of two-run ball.
The Giants sit fourth in the NL West at 71-74.
