CHICAGO, IL (WHBL) – Christian Yelich blasted a three-run homer in the sixth inning as the Milwaukee Brewers rallied to beat the Cubs 4-3 at Wrigley Field on Friday night. Freddy Peralta picked up the victory, while Josh Hader collected his fourth save.
Milwaukee relievers allowed two hits and struck out 11 in four-plus scoreless innings.
Chicago starter Alec Mills suffered the loss, yielding four runs in six innings, while striking out seven. Jason Kipnis, Ian Happ and Anthony Rizzo plated the Cubs’ runs in the fifth. The Cubs lead the NL Central with a 13-4 record.
Game three on Saturday has been moved to an afternoon game due to the threat of inclement weather. Game time is now set for 2:20. Pregame coverage on WHBL gets underway at 1:45.
