(Reuters) – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday that he had asked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step up advocacy for Ukraine’s Western partners to allow strikes on military targets deep inside Russia.
Zelenskiy said on Telegram that a follow-up conference – after Ukraine’s summit on peace in June – to discuss prisoners, which is due to be held in Canada, was also discussed.
