Jerome Wyckoff, 89, formerly of Eagle River and Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Jerome was born April 10, 1935 in Sheboygan, the son of John and Marie (Toomey) Wyckoff. He was raised in Sheboygan Falls, graduating from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1953. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army.
On June 4, 1960, he was united in marriage with Barbara Wiegerling in Sheboygan Falls. She preceded him in death in 2013.
For 35 years, Jerry worked in contractor sales at Richardson Lumber. Following his and Barbara’s retirement, they moved to Eagle River where they made countless memories. Jerry returned to the Sheboygan Falls area in 2022.
Jerry was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls, as well as the Sheboygan Contractors Association and the Kohler Police Athletic League where he served as treasurer. An avid Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan, Jerry enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Jerry is survived by his sons: Keith (Christine) of Sheboygan Falls, Kerry (Kelly Jo) of Kiel and Kevin (Tiffin) of Sheboygan; grandchildren Karrah (Nathan) Guillot and Karson and Keagan (Mieke) Wyckoff; sisters-in-law Doris Wyckoff and Penny Klefstad; 2 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; life-long friend Fritz Wachter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, sister Maryann (Marvin) Debbink, brother Joseph Wyckoff and brother-in-law David Klefstad.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. Private family graveside services will follow at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Vilas County Food Pantry.
