Two road projects in Sheboygan County have been green-lighted for funding through a statewide infusion of money from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure law. $177 million was added on Thursday to a previous $200 million in federal Surface Transportation Program funds in order to support another 76 different projects within 16 large urban areas across Wisconsin. All told, over $4 million will be coming to Sheboygan County through the program.
One project will involve design and construction of a bridge over the Mullet River on Center Street in the Town of Greenbush. $142,742 will go towards the design and about another $461,866 to its construction.
The other project will involve improvements to Fond du Lac Avenue between Main Street and Oak Street in Sheboygan Falls. That drew $3,565,240 from the additional funds announced on Thursday.
