Local golfers are making a good showing at the 104th Suter Ward Group Wisconsin State Open, now being played at the Minocqua Country Club. 156 players entered the tournament, but only 61 have made the cut after two rounds.
Amateur Drake Wilcox of Sheboygan is in a 3-way tie for 10th place at six under par, while Whistling Straits Pro Dave Bach is tied with four others at two under. Also making the cut from the local area: amateur Jeffrey Perry of Sheboygan is tied with six others at one under par, amateur Max Schmidtke of Sheboygan in a six-way tie at one over par, and WPGA member from Plymouth, Chad Sandee, making the cut at three over along with ten others.
The final 36 holes are played today.
