A project to improve Highway 42 through Howards Grove has been completed ahead of schedule. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said on Friday that the job of replacing curb ramps, adding new curbs and gutters, laying down a new asphalt overlay and marking the pavement is complete. Initially, the project that began in mid-July was expected to take until early next month to finish.
The Highway 42 project was the only State Highway improvement project planned in Sheboygan County this year, a welcome change after previous sessions of improvements to Highway 28 in Sheboygan had area residents re-routing their daily routines on-and-off for several years.
