Sheboygan’s 3 Sheeps Brewing Company recently opened its first Milwaukee presence in that city’s Triple Taproom, and this weekend the favor is returned with plenty of Milwaukee spirit coming to Sheboygan. It’s all in the interest of a good fundraiser as Sheboygan’s best-know craft brewer hosts its first MACC FUNDay Sunday. 3 Sheeps has chosen the MACC Fund as the August beneficiary of its monthly “Pints for a Purpose” event. Throughout the month the brewery donates 50 cents for each pint of 3 Sheeps Pilsner purchased at the taproom, but on Sunday that portion goes up to a full dollar.
Sunday’s activities run from 11 until 4 at the North Avenue taproom, and include plenty of family fun like basketball, golf chipping and putting, a bounce house, face painting, a MACC & Cheese Bar hosted by Apple Spice Catering Company of Milwaukee, a game-day style grilling station from Miesfeld’s Meat Market, live music, and all-you-can-drink Gatorade for the kids.
Of course, it’s all geared towards raising money for the MACC Fund, which will honor its “Featured Fighter”, 5-year-old Iker. Iker and his family endured chemotherapy and multiple surgeries that took him from Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma at age 3, to a cancer-free 5-year-old today. To date the MACC Fund has contributed nearly $85 Million towards pediatric cancer and related blood disorder research.
