It is with deep sadness to share the passing of our sister, aunt and friend Linda Heus. She passed away
on August, 2024 at Pine Haven Covenant, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. She was born August 21,
1950 to the late Norbert and Beulah Heus. Linda was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, with
the class of 1968. Linda worked in the banking field for most of her life, where she met many of her
friends. She was also a member of Master Gardeners and delivered Meals on Wheels for several years.
Linda loved working in her yard planting flowers, taking her elderly friends for rides in her convertible,
going to festivals, plays, movies, and craft fairs. She also loved going out to eat at her favorite restaurant
Weather Center. She would attend summer concerts with her best friend Brenda in the park, and
enjoyed many walks to the dog park, along Lake Michigan, and the Kettle Moraine trails with her
precious dogs.
Most of all, Linda loved family and friend gatherings. She had a great sense of humor, always singing,
having conversations and laughing. She loved taking trips with our dad to Barneveld to visit our brother
Mike and his family, and traveled to visit Curt in California. She also enjoyed taking the boat across Lake
Michigan to spend time with Roxane and Tommy, going on pontoon rides. Our family also shared many
happy memories at Pine Lodge singing songs to the jukebox.
Survivors include her sisters Roxane (Tom) Mosher from Muskegon, MI, Marilyn (John) Kregel of
Sheboygan Falls, and her nephews Greg and Jeff Heus of Barnaveld, and Lawrence Hildebrand of
Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by special friends Brenda Herrmann, Deb Federer, and Curt
Wuestenhagen.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Mike and Steve Heus, sister
Maureen Heus, sister-in-law Marilyn (Meby) Heus, and dear friend Ed Federer.
I would personally like to thank her best friend Brenda for being with Linda the entire time of this
journey. I could not have done this without her emotional support. Thank you to Deb Federer and
Sandy Gabrielse and Brenda for their time spent visiting Linda up until the day she passed. My heart is
with all of you. Lastly, to my husband John, thank you for being my biggest supporter and always being
there for me.
Special thanks to all the staff at Pine Haven for taking care of Linda. She loved all the music and
activities. Listening to music was her favorite thing to do, singing all the words up until she passed. A
heartfelt thanks to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for being there to take care of my sister and I. I could
not have gone through this without all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at
Chris and Sue’s Restaurant, W3820 County Road C, Plymouth, WI 53073.
