The Wisconsin DOT is advising motorists of full closures on major area highways that could interfere with regular traffic. The closures are needed to enable utility companies to pull wires over the roadways.
The first closure involves Highway 23, which will be closed between I-43 and County Highway “Y” between 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, and 5 a.m. Thursday, August 1st. Motorists should detour using Highway “Y”, State Highway 42 and I-43 in order to return to Highway 23.
The second involves I-43, which will be closed for the pulling of those lines in both directions between County Highway “V” and State Highway 23 between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7th and 5 a.m. on Thursday, August 8th. That detour will incorporate County Highway “V”, State Highway 57 and Wisconsin Highway 23 in order to rejoin I-43.
