Whether it’s performing, multimedia, soft sculpture, jewelry, or any number of other original offerings, you’re likely to find something to like during the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Midsummer Festival of the Arts.
One of JMKAC’s best-known events takes place Saturday from 10 until 5, and on Sunday from 10 ‘till 4 on the Arts Center grounds and City Green. The 54th annual festival hosts 100 juried booths showcasing paintings, photographs, jewelry, wearables, wood carvings, ceramics, glass, leather goods, textiles, and more.
While browsing those booths, there’ll be live music at City Green as the Levitt Amp Music Series, usually held on Thursdays, will offer bands ranging from blues, rock, and even the Grammy Award-Winning Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans. Also on the docket: street performances, art-making activities and food trucks. There’s no charge to attend – but bring some cash so you can bring one of those unique, original artworks into your home to enjoy year ‘round. Get more information at JMKAC.org
