MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers have entered the All-Star break with some positive momentum after winning their finale against the Washington Nationals.
Willy Adames blasted a two-run homer and finished with four RBI in Milwaukee’s 9-3 win over the Nationals from American Family Field on Sunday afternoon.
Garrett Mitchell and William Contreras also went deep, while Colin Rea earned the win after giving up two runs on five hits over five-plus innings.
The Brew Crew are still first in the NL Central at 55-42.
Jake Irvin got the loss for Washington after giving up six earned runs over four innings. The Nats head into the break fourth in the NL East at 44-53.
The Brewers will resume play next Saturday when they travel to Minnesota to face the Twins.
