Marilla Quinn

Marilla “Millie” Quinn, age 92, of Elkhart Lake, WI, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024 at Sheboygan
Aurora Hospital.
She was born on January 6, 1932 in Shorewood, WI, a daughter of the late Charles and Nora (Murphy)
Allen.
She graduated from Shorewood High School and graduated from Milwaukee Downer College, earning
her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapist.
On August 27, 1955, she married Garry Quinn, M.D., at St. Robert’s Catholic Church in Shorewood, WI.
The couple has resided in the Sheboygan area since 1963. Garry preceded her in death on July 25, 2001.
Millie’s five children were her whole world; she took great pride in raising them and being very active in
their activities. She never missed the kids sporting events or their Scouting events. She was very proud
that her boys earned the Eagle Scout Award and her daughter was a Senior Class Girl Scout.
Millie was very active with many social organizations within the community. She was a devoted catholic
and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was a master Bridge player, made puzzles,
loved playing tennis, golf, and racket ball, and every night had wine time, a glass of chardonnay with
three olives and three ice cubes. Millie was a worldwide traveler; even after her husband passed she
continued to travel the world with her friends. Times at Crystal Lake were very special to her because it
was Quinn’s Fairland and she loved watching her family water ski and enjoy the lake as much as she did.
Survivors include her children, Sue (Tom) Tyler of Richmond, WI, Scott (Tammi) Quinn of Mequon, WI,
Tom (Shelly) Quinn of Oak Creek, WI, Tim (Abby) Quinn of Farmington, WI, and Dan Quinn of Brookfield,
WI; Grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Clay, Julie (Mike) Luks, Brennan (Katie) Quinn, Michaela Quinn, Sineigh
Quinn, Alayna Quinn, Cullen Quinn, Keira Quinn and Katie Quinn; five great-grandchildren, Kyla, Carter,
Charlotte, Kinsley, and Easton; sister-in-law, Margaret Jones of Mequon, WI; and many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Charles John Allen, M.D.; sister, Ruth Gene
(Charles) Vierck.
Visitation will be held on July 20, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake from
10:00AM – 11:00AM; with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Father Subi Thomas will
officiate. Private inurnment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas North Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Millie’s name for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church in Elkhart Lake.
