The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is asking people living in the Village of Cleveland for help finding whoever is behind recent entry to vehicles. The vehicles were apparently entered sometime between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Sheriff didn’t indicate where, in the village, the crimes occurred, but is hoping that anyone with doorbell or security cameras will check them for evidence they could use in solving the crimes. Also, if someone notices items missing from their vehicle, home or any outbuildings to contact Sheriff’s Detective Matt Peronto with the information.
And as in any such crimes, the Sheriff is urging people to turn off and lock their vehicles, and take the keys whenever they’re unattended, and to keep valuables out of sight in the car and take them into the home when you arrive. It’s also advised to park in a well-lit area at night and use air-tags so you can track larger items if stolen.
You can offer information about these incidents to Crimestoppers at (920) 683-4466. Contact Detective Peronto through email: matthewperonto@
