SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Infrastructure and road improvements required by the new Aurora Health Sheboygan County Medical Center will affect travel on Sheboygan’s southwest side beginning Monday, and the disruption will last until mid-November. The advance notice from the Department of Public Works says the busy street between Taylor Drive and the Horace Mann Middle School driveway will be completely closed starting this coming Monday, and future full closures to the Taylor Drive intersection and Union Avenue westward will also occur beginning a week later, on August 24th.
Traffic will be re-routed from Taylor Drive at Indiana Avenue on the north and Washington Avenue on the south using South Business Drive. Public Works Director David Biebel asked for the public’s patience and cooperation during the project and, as partial closures and openings occur, they’ll be posted on the department’s website – sheboygandpw.com.
