Kerry Michael Gigot, age 77, of Elkhart Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2024.
He was born on February 8, 1947 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the second of the five children of
Marian Elizabeth and Erwin Norton Gigot.
Kerry is survived by his siblings, Gregory James Gigot (the late Mary Knoernschild), Mary Ellen
Smith (Gregory), Thomas Stephen Gigot (Marie Cerletty), and Jeanne Marie DuBois; by his
nieces and nephews, Michael Scott Gigot, Stephen Andrew (Valerie) Gigot, Matthew Bryce
(Jen) Smith, Annemarie (Aaron) Smith-Morris, Carolyn Marie Gigot, Nicholas James Gigot,
Molly DuBois (James) Mliner, Thomas (Miranda) DuBois, Christopher (Anna) DuBois, Joseph
(Marissa) DuBois, and James DuBois; and by grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Kerry attended St. Bernard Elementary School in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Marquette University
High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the University of Detroit (Bachelor of Science, with a
major in Mathematics), and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Master of Business
Administration).
Kerry worked as a computer scientist and systems engineer for a sequence of companies that
included Delco Information Systems, Chevrolet Information Systems, Electronic Data Systems,
and Hewlett-Packard Company.
Kerry was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church while he lived in the Detroit area.
When Kerry retired to Elkhart Lake in 2012, he became a member of St. Thomas Aquinas
Catholic Church, where he later served on the parish council and in a number of volunteer roles.
Kerry was a polymath. He enjoyed solving puzzles of all kinds. Kerry found many clever ways
to share his time, wisdom and humor with his family and friends. Kerry’s hobbies included
genealogy, water sports, downhill skiing and golf.
Kerry spoke a language of kindness. He looked for and brought out the best in others.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday (June 21, 2024) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church
in Elkhart Lake, WI. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. A
family-only burial service will be held later in the day at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
