(WHBL) – The John Michael Kohler Arts Center has spent the last few months as a mostly virtual experience, while reinventing its performing arts endeavors by bringing its “Thursday Nights Together (at a Distance) to various neighborhoods. But now it’s prepared to offer the public the traditional experience of visual arts in a museum, according to Arts Center Director Sam Gappmayer.
Since its temporary closure earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, significant measures have been implemented, guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with local and state authorities, and Gappmayer is confident that it can offer a safe visit.
There are reduced hours of operation with members-only hours on Wednesday through Saturday mornings, timed reservations so groups can remain distanced, masks are required for everyone, and thorough cleaning of high-touch surfaces will be done throughout the day. One thing that hasn’t changed is admission – that’s still free. You can visit JMKAC.org for all the details.
