ANAHEIM, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the L.A. Angels 5-3 in their series opener from Anaheim on Monday night.
Jake Bauers slugged a two-run homer and Brice Turang also went deep for the Brewers.
Carlos Rodriguez got the loss after giving up four earned runs over four-plus innings.
Zach Neto hit his 10th home run of the season for the Angels on a two-run shot in the fourth inning. Luis Guillorme finished the game 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Zach Plesac earned his first win of the season after allowing three runs through six innings, while Carlos Estevez recorded his 13th save.
Milwaukee dropped to 42-30, but still leads the NL Central.
Game two of the three game series takes place Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 8pm.
